I'm starting my first blog.

I'm starting my first blog today, July 17, 2009. This is my latest piece for the cases that I made up about two weeks ago. It sold yesterday to one of my favorite customers. Tomorrow I'm going to tell you how I got the stone for this piece and how I came up with the design.

  1. Is this a druzy on chrysocolla?

  2. I usually just refer to it as druzy chrysocola because the druzy is actually composed of chrysocola in this case, so I wouldn't refer to it as druzy on chrysocola although I suppose it's another way to describe it. What I liked about the piece was the way it had the original rock material with it as well.

  3. Nice to see you have a blog -- even though I'm a terribly uncommunicative friend, I thought I'd comment.

One of my favorite memories is of sitting in your first apartment in Boston looking through and playing with a shipment of stones you had just received.

    Hope you are well.

  4. Hi Michele,
Nice to see you're still alive. Ryan is an artiste in NYC. Rents are still living in Stamford (downtown now). Sam moved out three weeks after he turned 18 and is working in a restaurant. Hope yours are doing well.

  5. Beautiful stone, and I love the diamond accents in the curly gold wires too. Lovely design.

  6. Still alive, yeah. I see Herb and Louise every once in awhile at political things... I'm always glad to see that Herb is still sassy and Louise is still smiling. They did tell me Ryan was doing well... I think he'd been in D.C. and was going to Italy when last I heard. Matt got his BSc from Rensselaer and his MFA from CalArts. He got into things political and has returned to the nest (sigh) doing a politics/design something or other. Lauren dropped out of American University (she prefers "left") and is a colorful vegan working in DC at a club called the Black Cat. She tells me this is a good thing but I have my doubts.
